England and Wales
England and Wales use one Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) system under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, split into a property-and-financial-affairs LPA and a health-and-welfare LPA.

Northern Ireland currently uses an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) for property and financial affairs. Unlike England and Wales, Northern Ireland does not yet have a welfare/health-and-care equivalent in force.

Scotland uses a separate legal system from England and Wales. A Power of Attorney under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 can grant continuing (financial) powers, welfare powers, or both.
